La Double J Floral Dress
You may remember this vibrant La Double J dress from one of our recent For Less Friday posts. The bright blue print is so beautiful and perfect for a spring wedding so we had to share it again! These shades of blue look amazing on so many skin tones and the fit-and-flare silhouette is extremely flattering on most body shapes. The neckline isn’t too revealing, and the thicker straps allow for a regular bra (yay!). It also has pockets and a modest midi length (Erin is 5’4” for reference). The fabric is a stretch cotton poplin so it’s more wrinkle-resistant, making it perfect if you’re traveling for a wedding. It is pricey and is the most expensive dress on this list, but we shared even more options at more affordable price points below. Blue Printed Mini
This pretty blue printed mini dress by Socialite comes in two prints, is a nice length, has a flattering v-neckline, and feminine ruffle details. Plus, it’s only $89! It would be perfect for a more casual co*cktail attire wedding or even as a date night dress for spring/summer.

On-Trend Silhouette
Peplums and wider bottom silhouettes are very on-trend for spring and this dress has a cool exaggerated silhouette and princess seams that we love. The berry color is also really beautiful and the fact that you can wear a regular bra with it is a big win. It’s only $120.

Trendy Feathers
Feathers are another spring/summer 2024 trend and we love that this Likely dress only has them on the cuffs and hem. It allows you to wear the trend without going overboard. This dress also comes in black, bright pink, and white.

Cool Cutouts
How fun is this Amanda Uprichard puzzle dress?! It’s such a unique and cool way to do cutouts. We love the lavender color for spring but it also comes in black, aqua blue and two orangey colors. It’s only $229, which is a great price point considering the quality of the dress and brand.

Gorgeous Green
If you’re looking for something that will work for a formal or semi-formal dress code, this green sheath dress by Elliatt is perfect. We love the off-the-shoulder neckline and knotted detail at the bust. If you have a bigger bust, this is one you’ll probably want to avoid. The midi length is really nice but still shows a little leg with the not-too-high slit.

Perfect Print
There’s just something about green and prints that scream spring to us! This Staud dress is in the prettiest green toile print and reminds us a lot of the blue La Double J dress Erin is wearing above. The neckline, length, and silhouette are all very similar but this dress is about half the price. It’s a cotton blend so you’ll stay cool, but you can always throw a jacket or wrap around your shoulders for the wedding.

Sleek & Classy
Erin owns this Rhode dress in a different print and the fabric is lovely, the fit is wonderful, and the brand’s prints are gorgeous. We love the pink, green, and red combo on this one! This is one of those dresses you can easily dress up or down and wear it to everything…wedding, dinner, graduation, Easter, etc.

Beautiful Blue
This light blue Self Portrait dress is so beautiful, has sleeves, is a modest length, and just looks like spring in our eyes! We love that the lining only goes to mini length so you can show some leg without it feeling like too much.

Classic & Simple
When we first saw this dress, we thought it was black but after looking closer, it’s actually a really dark green…which is a nice alternative to black during the spring. The bustier top is really flattering and supportive and the fit-and-flare silhouette is super slimming. The raw edge hem adds a fun, edgy touch.

I was astounded that #3 would be considered as a dress for a wedding reception where one has to sit, stand, bend, dance, and perhaps do cartwheels if one has enough punch. This dress is only 29inches long. Most tunics are this length or shorter, which means this dress would not even cover your bum! Well a couple feathers might. It is cute in a Goldie Hawn 1970 kind of way. But Geez.

Hi Jan! It’s always SO important to check on the length of dresses compared to your own body, as you have noted. If you love something but feel it’s a little short, you can always pair it with tights if your event is in the evening. Here’s some similar dresses with feather details that are longer to consider as well. ~Team Busbee
