Ive recently lost a ton of weight and for the first time in nearly 20 years am interested in clothes again! I honestly thought my style would change or 'grow up' but I still seem to gravitate towards the same look (I love jumpers, cargos and trainers!).
Anybody in this age range has your style changed much or do you just know what works and stick with it?

I stick with the same thing which is mainly jeans, a top and a cardigan. Boots in winter, sandals in summer. The styles of the tops/jeans/cardigans change but that's my core look. Never wear skirts or dresses.

I think by this age you know what suits you. I have a tricky figure to dress, broad shouldered and big bust but narrow everywhere else and very short legs for my height. I know what offsets all this.

It’s gone back to a grown up version of what I wore in my late teens/early twenties, after losing my way during the baby years.

Fashion has been on a repeat cycle since the 70s. All eras have come back in at some stage or other.
Cargos have been around again and still looks really cool.
Find the styles you loved and update the looks with the modern fabrics and fits.
The cheaper versions just do not hold its shape or wear well on a mature lady.
Or go vintage cargos and mix with new clean crisp Tshirts. Im 57 and do not follow fashion, by now you should be developing your style of what you like. btw I am a fashion designer and never follow fashion. Hit the vintage shops and experiment.😊

Work: black jeans and jumper or a midi dress
Casual: joggers and sweatshirt or long sleeved top with band t-shirt
Out: jeans or midi skirt with top
DMs or converse with all the above

I have different styles depending on mood but it's mostly about comfort.

Initially after I got slim I went through a big athleisure phase with leggings and tank tops (because yay, suddenly 'sprayed on' actually looks pretty good!)

Mostly back in cords/ yoga pants and nice sweaters now.

I'm 5'8" and a 10/12.

In the winter I wear jeans, sweater and boots at home, and tailored wide leg trousers, cotton shirt, tank and loafers in the office. Occasionally a dress, cardigan and heeled boots.

In the summer, cotton dresses and sandals, or linen wide leg trousers and a top for work. At home cropped trousers or cotton skirt and a t-shirt.

I'm late 50s. I suppose my style, if I had to define it, is classic with a cool, trendy twist. I buy classic pieces in good fabrics that I know will last forever and keep them current with a few things from each season. But I don't buy things for the sake of it, I have to really love them and know that they suit my body shape, which is tall with an athletic build and good legs. If I don't like what's currently fashionable I don't buy it. Also, my big thing is colour. I can't be doing with bland neutrals or black and I love combining colours, it makes me happy. I adore colours in shoes and bags particularly, I own dozens of bags but only one or two of them are black or boring brown.

Over 60 and I've changed my style lots of times. It's everyone's individual choice but I'm not interested in sticking with the same look - I don't stick to reading the same books all the time so why would I want to do it with my clothes? Life changes. I want getting dressed to be interesting and fun.

I'm still rocking scruffy teenager (grunge) which perfectly suits my physique, how I live & personality, actually. I'll probably dress like this until I'm 90. I want to recommend that OP goes to charity shops & just gravitate to what speaks to your heart. if you take it home & never wear it or find you dislike it; donate & visit charity shop again. Good luck.

I’m 40s and I wear a more neutral version of what I wore in my late teens and early twenties. After years of wearing what I thought I was supposed to wear as a grown up, I’ve gone back to wearing what I enjoy and find comfortable. Jeans and loose trousers with boots or sneakers or flat shoes. T-shirts, jumpers, overshirts, maybe a hoody at the weekend. Big wool coats. All plain colours, mostly dark or cream, no patterns. I’m not keen on dresses so I don’t wear them much. Might stretch to an oversized sun dress on a very hot day.

My style hasn't really changed much. I usually wear jeans with loose pretty tops (Fat Face etc). In the winter I wear boots, In the summer I wear trainers. When it's really warm I'm too hot in jeans so I wear either linen trousers or long skirts and vests. I have varisose veins so I have to cover my legs no matter how hot it is

After years of not knowing what my style is, I think I’ve worked it out. It’s preppy. It suits my shape and lifestyle. I don’t care if it’s fashionable or not. I have hated the fashion of last few years- prairie / maxi dresses and oversized clothing. Much prefer what’s coming into the shops now.

So winter is usually smartish jeans or trousers, shirts, v-neck jumpers or tank top. Smart jacket or coat. Boots or loafers.
Summer is chinos, tailored shorts or linen trousers. Plain t-shirts. Knee length dresses. Ballet pumps or sandals. No prints.
Gym gear for the gym, not for hanging out in Costa 😀 and leggings and big coat for dog walking.
Boring, but I like it.

My style is probably quite similar to what I wore at uni, but in my mid 20s I tried to glam up and wore a lot of skirts and blazers and black.

I'm braver with colour and colour combinations now and know much better what suits me. I wear a lot more natural fibres and my style is quite androgynous and oversized, that's been my predominant style for years but I'm becoming more uncompromising about it. My typical outfit at the moment is baggy, wide or barrel leg jeans or trousers with a long sleeve cotton tee tucked in and oversized wool mix jumper with jewellery and trainers. In summer it's an oversized tee. My going out outfit is typically the same on bottom half with a silver or black slightly cropped top. I also wear (baggy cotton) jumpsuits and in summer I will sometimes wear dresses but they are very simple unstructured linen or cotton. That's it, unless maybe there's a wedding in which case I will get more dressed up.

I'm a little younger, early 40s, but I'm trying to find my style too. I've recently lost some weight and have the strongest urge to dump my entire wardrobe in a charity shop and start again. It's full of loads of skinny jeans and just ugly, cheap things I wore over that hid my bumps.
I like midi dresses with white trainers or jeans and a jumper or tshirt. Casual and comfortable.

I went through a period of dressing how I thought I should dress especially when working towards promotions etc. But now at 53, I have zero f*cks left to give and so I dress in more expensive and better quality versions of what I wore when I was younger. So in the UK baggy jeans and trainers, I prefer a beautiful cashmere hoodie now a days but its still baggy and often black.

Currently, I live in a ridiculously hot country, and it took me a while to translate how I wanted to look to the weather, but I swapped baggy jeans for baggy linen pants, trainers for birkenstocks and found a new love in oversized maxi shirt dresses which I can un-botton a bit so they aren't big blocks of material.

I think my 'style' is what works in my current environment: I moved to the seaside two years ago and we have also some nice countryside close by.

I can get quite windy and muddy so I have been living in jeans, jumpers, wooly hats, trainers and puffer coat. Boots with chunky heels when I want to look a bit nicer.

In the summer maxi dresses, sandals, straw hats, Breton stroppy tops and linen wide leg trousers.

I do like bright colours though and some patterns.

I work from home most of the time so never feel the need to look 'smart', I have embraced the bohemian/scruffy look...

Also I am 53 and could not give a monkey as to what other people think of me and how I look.

Our small town has it fair share of boho/artists/eccentrics and people who dress really casually so it is rather relaxed when it come to clothing.
